  • FINANCIAL COMMITMENT: We have invested well over $5 million in plant-wide environmental and sustainable systems.
  • EQUIPMENT: A new AI-powered 8 color LED perfecting press is replacing two conventional 8 color presses. It will out produce our current presses by 3 times and only consume 1/3 of the combined power. Completion date 9/1/25.
  • SHEETING TO YOUR SPECIFICATIONS: We sheet our own rolled paper to efficiently use paper that is engineered to your project specifications reducing waste generation before it starts.
  • RECYCLING PAPER: All paper spoilage, waste and unused trim is recaptured, shredded, bailed, and resold to make other paper products. No paper is ever thrown in the trash. We recycle over 1.5 million pounds of pre-consumer wastepaper every year.
  • PAPER & BOARD: We are FSC® certified by Rainforest Alliance (FSC® CO23568) with SFI certification pending. We purchase all of our house paper from those vendors who practice sound forest management techniques. Our paper products come from managed tree farms through domestic sources.
    - All house offset coated paper is FSC certified, 10% recycled and made in the USA.
    - All house Board C1s is FSC certified and made in the USA.
    - All house Kraft board is 100% recycled, FSC certified and made in the USA.
  • CARDBOARD: 100% of our cardboard packaging is recycled, amounting to over 65,000 pounds annually.
  • PALLETS: All broken and unusable pallets go to a compost facility.
  • ALUMINUM: All aluminum plates are recycled, totaling over 35,000 pounds of plating material annually.
  • INK: All house inks are VOC free made from vegetable and soy ingredients. Certified for food contact.
  • LIGHTING: Working with Xcel Energy, around 2010, we replaced 261 metal halide mercury lamps with high bay fluorescent fixtures, reducing our annual kilowatt hours usage by 570,000. Since then, all lights throughout the plant, and in all the offices, have been replaced with new low energy LED, saving even more kilowatt hours.
  • SOLAR POWERED: $3.5 million worth of solar panels installed on our 150,000 sf Colorado plant. Not only will the solar panels generate enough energy to run all the equipment 24/7, but the excess will be sold back to help power the grid. Completion date 10/31/25.
  • WIND ENERGY: CPC purchases Wind Power Credits per customers’ requirements.
  • NO FILM OR CHEMICALS: For the past 25 years we have eliminated all film and film chemical processes from the printing process.

FSC Certification:

This certification ensures that forestry operations meet a set of environmental, social and economic criteria covering compliance with laws and international treaties, land-use and indigenous peoples’ rights, community relations, biodiversity conservation and maintenance of high conservation value forests, among other things. The area of FSC-certified forest lands has nearly doubled in the past three years to a total of 247,105,381 acres to date. This growth has opened up a burgeoning supply of certified wood products including lumber, paper, furniture and decking from responsibly managed forests. Increasing consumer interest in FSC-certified products ensures that forest operations have economic incentives to manage their lands responsibly.
